Fieldwork Program...

PuangAyah yang mana ayoooo....
Summer 2003-Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Ini bareng teman2 dari berbagai negara. Amerika, Jepang, Filipina, dan Singapura.
Fieldwork is an endeavor to travel an unknown path. To reach the final destination, the fieldworker collects many pieces of information and investigates what they mean. The compass is the fieldworker's sensibility and reason. There is no shortcut or fast track.
Another aspect of fieldwork is to immerse oneself in relationships with others. People in front of you are not simple objectives of research. The longer you stay in a location, the closer you become to them. "How do I relate to my host family, their neighbors, village officials or extension workers?" "How do I live in these relationships?" Fieldwork gives us many chances to think about these fundamental questions.
